Privacy policy

This policy covers the information collected when you ask us to appraise a vehicle, and what happens to it afterwards. It is written to be read, not to be waved at you.
Who operates this service. The appraisal software and the messages sent from it are operated by DattaDock, LLC (EIN 84-4819343), an Oklahoma limited liability company, on behalf of Auto Appraisal Network OKC. Messages you receive relate to your appraisal with Auto Appraisal Network OKC. DattaDock's company-wide privacy and messaging policy is published at dattadock.com/privacy.html, and this page states the same terms for this service.
What we collect
- Your name, email address, phone number and the city the vehicle is in.
- Details of the vehicle: year, make, model, VIN, odometer and condition.
- Your insurance claim details, where the appraisal concerns a claim, including the insurer, the claim number and the date of loss.
- Documents and photographs you send us, including the insurance company's own valuation report.
What we do with it
We use it to carry out the appraisal you asked for, to produce the report, to keep you informed about your file, and to invoice you. That is the whole list.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, including our own.
It is handled by a small number of services that make the work possible: our website and file storage host, our email provider, our text message provider, and Stripe if you pay by card. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never reach us. Where the appraisal concerns a claim, the finished report goes to whoever you tell us to send it to, which is normally your insurance company or your attorney.
SMS and text messaging
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
We only send SMS text messages to people who have opted in. You opt in by entering your mobile number and ticking the consent checkbox on our inquiry form at aan-okc-shell.netlify.app/request.html, or from your own private appraisal page. The checkbox is never pre-selected, and your appraisal can be carried out without it.
What we send: messages about your own appraisal only. That we have received your paperwork, that we need something from you, that your report is ready, or that an invoice has been sent. We do not send marketing or promotional SMS messages of any kind.
Message frequency varies with your appraisal and is typically a small number of messages per file. Message and data rates may apply.

Mobile opt-in data and consent are collected solely to deliver these messages. That data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and it is not shared with any third party except the telecommunications provider required to deliver the message to your handset.
How long we keep it
Appraisal files are kept for seven years. An appraisal can be questioned or relied on long after it is written, and the file is the evidence behind it.
Your choices
